Welcome to the website of Lodge Kirkwall Kilwinning No. 382
Kirkwall Kilwinning is the oldest freemason lodge in
Orkney and within the Province of Orkney and Zetland. It is also one of the
oldest lodges in Scotland.
According to lodge archives, the official history
can be traced back to at least 1st October
1736. The Charter from the Grand Lodge of Scotland is dated 1740.
Regular Meetings are held every second and fourth Thursday, from October to March. The exceptions are in November when the Installation Meeting is held on the fourth Friday, and in December when there is only one meeting on the second Thursday.
The Masonic Hall is located on Castle Street, just a
stone throw from St Magnus Cathedral,
in the centre of the City & Royal Burgh of
Kirkwall, the capital of the Orkney Islands.
