Kirkwall Masonic Lodge

Welcome to the website of Lodge Kirkwall Kilwinning No. 382

Kirkwall Kilwinning is the oldest freemason lodge in Orkney and within the Province of Orkney and Zetland. It is also one of the oldest lodges in Scotland.

According to lodge archives, the official history can be traced back to at least 1st October 1736. The Charter from the Grand Lodge of Scotland is dated 1740.

Regular Meetings are held every second and fourth Thursday, from October to March. The exceptions are in November when the Installation Meeting is held on the fourth Friday, and in December when there is only one meeting on the second Thursday.

The Masonic Hall is located on Castle Street, just a stone throw from St Magnus Cathedral,
in the centre of the City & Royal Burgh of Kirkwall, the capital of the Orkney Islands.
